July 3rd, 1971 17 rue De Beautreillis - Paris, France Jim Morrison is found dead in the bathtub by Pamela Courson. He was having difficulty breathing and drew a bath for himself. NOTES: Various reasons for Jim's death have been listed, to include heart attack, Pneumonia, and, most recently, Heroin (although Jim had always eschewed hard drugs, prefering alcohol). Many believe that Jim faked his death to get away from the scene, prefering to write poetry. The only people to have actually seen Morrison's body were Pam and the atending Physician. It is a nice theory, but one would think that he would have turned up somewhere after thirty years.
July 7th, 1971 Pere Lachaise Cemetery - Paris, France Morrison's grave has been a pilgrimage for years for Doors fans. NOTES: The lease on the plot is supposed to end shortly and will not, in all liklihood be renewed due to graffiti & vandalism.
